Bio

Emily is a Licensed Associate Counselor (LAC), and a national certified counselor (NCC) in the state of NJ. Emily received her Master’s degree from Caldwell University, and her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology at West Chester University. Emily has worked in a variety of settings such as inpatient hospitalization, partial-hospitalization, and intensive outpatient. She has worked with clients of all ages that range from youth children, adolescents, and adults, and has worked individually, as well in various group settings.

In order to move toward change, Emily provides a warm and empathetic environment for clients of all ages to explore their current difficulties. In addition to providing a safe and non-judgmental environment, Emily’s goal is to create a positive therapeutic alliance that will increase a client's motivation to strive for growth, and overall positive well-being. Emily understands that seeking out therapy is a personal choice, so utilizing person centered counseling is a way for her to build that therapeutic rapport. Emily’s counseling approaches also include cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), and strength based therapy.

In Emily’s free time, she likes to read, go for hikes, listen to music, cook, and spend time with her cats. Emily also likes to engage in her own art therapy when she has time, using a variety of materials to help her get creative.
