    Bio

Amanda received her Bachelor of the Arts in Psychology with a concentration in clinical counseling from The College of New Jersey and continued on with TCNJ to receive her Master's of the Arts degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. She is a Licensed Associate Counselor (LAC) and a National Certified Counselor.

Amanda’s experience in the counseling field consists of working with children and adolescents ranging in age from 10 to 18 years old in a partial hospitalization and intensive outpatient setting. Amanda also has experience working with adults in the intensive outpatient setting, and working in crisis stabilization, management, and prevention.

Operating from a strengths-based perspective and using an eclectic approach to counseling, Amanda successfully and creatively implements elements of  Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Narrative therapy, and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) in her collaborative, trauma-informed approach with clients. She believes in the importance of psychoeducation for the entire family system, and views therapy as a collaborative effort between the client and therapist.

Outside of the therapeutic setting, Amanda enjoys traveling, Yankee baseball, practicing yoga, connecting with family and friends, and spending time outdoors with her dog, Indy.
